The X1000 / X3000 seminar introduces the Storage Server products, explains the differences between the two product lines, and goes into some detail on the operation of each product line. No labs are included, but the course includes walk-throughs of a number of important operations.

This course is intended for X1000 / X3000 customers, HP Services field engineers, call center personnel, Presales and Channel Partners and other field personnel who provide installation and/or operational support assistance for HP StorageWorks X1000 and X3000 Network Storage Servers.

Obsah kurzu

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

Describe the architecture of the X1000 and X3000 Network Storage Servers
Explain the differences in application and implementation between the X1000 and X3000
Configure Storage Servers for initial use
Provision storage from internal disks, direct-attached storage (DAS), and SANs
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures

Basic networking experience Windows Server 2008 R2 administration experience
Understanding of SCSI, iSCSI, RAID, Fibre Channel, and SAN technologies
