JavaServer Faces 2.0 (JSF) is a standard framework of the Java Enterprise Edition 6 platform. The framework is used for building server-side user interfaces. This course covers the JSF 2.0 specification and uses the latest IBM Rational Application Developer V8. You learn how to build maintainable, extensible, robust, and visually appealing web applications. You also master the JSF 2.0 component set and you learn how to create custom components. You learn how to create templates for a consistent look-and-feel by using the Facelet framework. This course also provides a quick introduction to Ajax and shows you how to integrate Ajax in JSF applications. You also learn how to create a custom AJAX-based JSF component.
